Data Power Monitoring Corporation offers training services for all of our customers.
Included in these services are all training materials and appropriate documentation necessary for site engineering to perform basic and even more advanced maintenance and operation tasks on installed Battery Monitoring Systems.
We bring the training to you and conduct it on-site in a classroom setting as well as on-location at the monitoring equipment installation.
Class duration ranges from 1/2 day to a maximum of 2 days, and classes are typically limited to 4 students per site to ensure quality instruction.

Class Objectives
Upon completion of the Battery Monitoring System Training Class, students shall meet the following objectives:
- Describe the purpose and theory of internal battery impedance, as a method of determining battery capacity and health.
- Given a Monitoring system diagram, the student shall be able to describe the purpose and function of each major component.
- Given a list of alarms, the student shall be able to identify the purpose and meaning of each alarm with any necessary corrective action.
- The student shall be able to operate and interpret data from an installed Monitoring System.
- The student shall be able to operate and interpret data from the Battery Analysis Reporting (BAR) software.
- The student shall be able to generate operating procedures for the Monitoring Systems installed at one or more locations within the company.
Prerequisites
Students attending the Monitoring System training class should have a basic working knowledge of the UPS’s, Switchgear, Engine Starting & Controls, or Communication backup system hardware as installed at the Company.
Students should have basic electrical knowledge as a facility electrician or equivalent, and be PC literate in the operation of Microsoft Windows based systems, and Web communications.
